The case of Jay Berwanger is an interesting one as this NFL draft pick never played a single NFL game. Yes, you read that right! Now, despite having it all and going ahead to be the first Heisman winner as well as first player selected in the NFL draft, Jay was way ahead of his time in demanding for huge money pay-outs. Jay demanded a whopping $1,000 per game from Philadelphia Eagles (a relatively obscene amount of money at the time), and after failing to reach an agreement with Eagles he was traded to Chicago Bears and George Halas. However, the two sides didn’t come to a contract either.
